Restoration By Change

...to the book of Psalm. Psalm thirty-two, the thirty-second Psalm. The thirty-second Psalm. Hallelujah, Jesus. And when you get there, just signify by saying, "Amen." Praise the Lord. And it reads as such, verse one through verse five,

1. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

3. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

4. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

5. I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Let us pray.

Most holy and gracious heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Anointing that removes burdens and destroys yokes. Father, hide Your servant behind the cross. Let Your people see You and not me. And Father, as I decrease I ask that You would increase. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, and my strength and my Redeemer.

And Father, I thank You that Satan is bound and loosed from his assignment this night. In Jesus holy and blessed Name we pray.

And the church said, "Amen." You may be seated.

Sin and disobedience cause us to fall prey to the enemy. It causes us to move out of position that God has placed us in to receive the blessing of the Lord. That maketh rich and addeth no sorry with it.

But once we are able to see the error of our ways, once we are able to see the errors in our lives (glory to God), His mercy endureth forever. God begins to bring a fresh Anointing, a fresh morning due, a restoration into our lives.

When we look in the book of Second Kings (hallelujah), chapter two and verse, chapter twenty-one and verse one, it said,

1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah.

Now the father of Manasseh was Hezekiah. And Hezekiah was a king that wanted to follow God. Hezekiah was a king that followed the precepts of the Lord. Hezekiah was a king that obeyed the voice of God.

He had a wonderful relationship with a prophet named Isaiah. Isaiah was a prophet that was able to go about and speak what thus saith the Lord, freely. But Hezekiah passed away.

And Manasseh, his son, began to reign at the age of twelve. Being that he was at the age of twelve, he needed direction and he needed guidance. So most of his leadership (glory to God) counsel came from the elders that were around him. Glory to God.

And Manasseh did evil in the sight of the Lord. Manasseh began to build up graven images. He began to build the high places. He began to worship Baal. He even raised up altars in the house of God. Manasseh did evil. Not only did he do evil, but he taught the people to do evil.

How many of you know people are going to do what you teach them to do? They began to worship graven images. He even built a grove and built a high place there. And they worshiped. And they idolized their idols in the groves. But the Lord got tired of it. The Lord said, "No, no, no, no. Not in My house."

You see, we begin to build up idols in the house of God. We've even began to make men and women that are anointed idols in the house of God. God is not going to have no other god before Him. He'll take that idol down.

Manasseh, he even had the audacity to do human sacrifice with his own children. This friendly prophet named Isaiah that was friends with his father, Hezekiah, he forbade him to prophesy in the streets any longer. Not only did he forbid him to prophesy in the streets, but he killed him. He took his life. He put his hands on God's anointed. And that was the final straw.

Because their sin was so great, God raised up the kind of Assyria. And when God raised up the king of Assyria, he sent them to do battle against the king of Judah and his people. And the king of Assyria took Manasseh captive to Babylon.

You see, God has a way of getting our attention. You see, you'll either come out of your sin, or you'll be led into captivity. You'll either come out of what it is that God despises or you'll be led into captivity.

While he was in the prison of Assyria, he began to be afflicted there. And while he began to be afflicted, his mind began to race back. "I remember how my father used to praise the Lord. I remember how my father used to seek after God."

And the Bible said in Second Chronicles that he began to cry out after God. He humbled himself in his captivity. If you are going to get a release, you have got to humble yourself in your captivity and cry out unto your God.

He cried out. And the Bible said that the Lord heard his cry. I don't care what it is you've done, the Lord will hear your cry. He cried out and the Lord heard him. He began to pray and the Lord spoke to him. The Lord not only took him out of captivity, but the Lord restored his kingdom back to him.

You're looking for something to be restored for you, but you have got to get down on your knees and pray and say, "Lord, I have sinned and come short of the Your glory." You've got to get up off of your high self and seek the Lord.

Sometimes we'll get in the position, and we won't realize why we've been in that position. And in that position we're going through pure hell. But God is just looking for us to stop being so high minded. He's looking for us to bow our knee to the Name of Jesus. He's looking for us to call out upon His Name.

You see, when you're in captivity, you should have a change of mind. I speak to many people and I counsel them. And I know that they're in sin and they know that they're in sin. And they're going through hell. But they refuse to change their mind. And that's the problem.

When Manasseh was in captivity, he changed his mind. He said, "Lord, I was wrong. Won't You please forgive me?" You may be going through something. But I guarantee you, it's to teach you humility. Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost. You may be going through hell right now, but I guarantee you, it's to keep you in a place of humility. Because as soon as He raised you up...

He will allow us to go into captivity to bring us back to a place of submission, to bring us back to a place of seeking Him, to bring us back to a place where we'll realize that He is our God.

Manasseh came to the place where he believed that God was God all by Himself. He had a change of mind, and restoration came his way. You see, many of us are waiting for things to be restored to us, but we haven't changed our minds. We haven't made up our minds.

He changed his mind. But it took God humbling him. You can change your mind today without God having to humble you. You can make up in your mind to do it all by yourself. If I were you, I'd rather do it myself. If I were you, I'd rather turn from my wicked ways myself.

Manasseh, he came back to his senses.

The Lord gave me this message tonight because many of us are building high places. (Tongues.) And some of us are even building the high places in the house of God. But if you don't stop building your high place, God is going to stop construction for you.

Humble yourself and come out of sin. Humble yourself and come out of disobedience. Humble yourself. Come out of your iniquity and your transgression. Do it yourself, lest God have to do it for you.

God is looking for people who are willing to change their minds and make up their minds. That's who He's looking for.

You remember Joshua and Caleb? In Numbers thirteen, they came back with the report of the Lord. They came back and gave a good report.

If you are going to receive the blessing of the Lord, no matter what it looks like, no matter what the situation or the circumstance, you got to give the report of the Lord.

He sent twelve to spy out the land. And the other ten had an evil report. And they missed the promised land. Listen. Whatever God told you, no matter what you're going through right now, don't let it change your outlook. No matter how it looks right now, don't let it change your outlook.

Once you change what God has said, you missed the promised land. Many of us when a situation is out of our control, we go back into sin and we go back into disobedience. You're going to miss your blessing.

A made-up mind is going to bring restoration. A change of mind is going to bring restoration.

You remember Ruth. She was with her mother-in-law, Naomi. Ruth's husband had passed. Her sister-in-law's husband had passed. Naomi's sons, that's who they were. They passed away.

And Naomi talked to her daughters-in-law. She said, "You all need to go on back to Moab, because I have nothing else for you." So they all began to cry. So one sister-in-law went back. That was her mistake. But the Bible said that Ruth was steadfastly minded.

We talked in her about destiny. We talked in here about reaching what God has for us. It doesn't matter what's going on on your course right now. You have got to stay on course.

Ruth began to proclaim to Naomi, she said, "I don't care where you're going." She said, "I'm going." She said, "I don't care where you've living, I'm living. Your people are going to be my people. And where you lay your head to rest and die, that's where I'll lay my head to rest and die."

If we are going to fulfill the plan that God has for us, no matter what's going on, stay out of sin and get back out of disobedience.

she said, "I'm going." See, you've got to make up in your mind tonight that you're going. See, folks around you, they may be trying to hold you back, but you got to say, "I'm going." Folks on your job may be trying to hold you back, but you got to say, "I'm going." The boss may be raising hell, but you got to say, "I'm going."

Too many of us are changing our minds because of what's going on around us. It's not until you make up your mind; that's when your breakthrough is going to come. She made up her mind that she was going to move forward. She made up her mind that she was going to progress anyhow.

I'm talking to somebody in this house. You're going through something right now that nobody else really don't understand. And if you tell somebody else about it, they'll probably say, "You ain't going through nothing." But you got to press on. You got to make progress. You got to see tomorrow that you're not in the same place where you were yesterday.

She made progress. And she walked into the blessing of the Lord. The Bible said that there was a kinsman named Boaz who owned a field. And when they came back to Bethlehem, the Bible said that it was harvest time.

You see, you maybe going through a storm right now, but when you get where God got you going, it's harvest time. You may have been crying back there, but now it's harvest time.

and they went into the field of Boaz. And she began to glean in Boaz's field. Boaz saw her. And he spoke to his men and said, "Don't bother her."

You see, when you get to your promised land, even though the enemy may be around you, the Lord is going to say, "Don't bother him. Don't bother her." He's going to even make your enemies bless you. Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost up in here.

Boaz said, "Not only let her pick up the ones that are there, but leave some more down there." Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost.

See, you just right at your breakthrough, but your flesh is acting up. (Tongues.) You're at the point of your breakthrough, and now temptation is all around you. If you just hold out a little while longer, you're going to marry Boaz.

Let me tell you something. You're going through something. But stay loyal to the cause. Stop looking back, and stop looking to the left and to the right.

See, the problem is a lot of times, a lot of us don't know how to be loyal to anything. If we will find out how to be loyal, though the ship start rocking a little bit, we're not going to jump overboard. If everybody start crying, we'll start crying with them. If everybody start rejoicing, we'll rejoice with them.

You may be in captivity tonight, but it's time for you to come out. Ruth was in captivity, but in her appointed time and season, she came out. What is this? I refuse, I refuse, I refuse to go through hell for twenty and thirty years. I refuse. You got to make up your mind. Oh, hallelujah, Jesus.

I'm out of Egypt. I'm not going back there no more. So there's got to be a breakthrough in Bethlehem for me. Listen. The Holy Spirit is speaking tonight.

There's a breakthrough around the corner for you. But you've been thinking about going back for a minute. You've been thinking about slipping back in the dark. Uh oh. You've been thinking about getting a little taste. Feel the Holy Ghost. But when you go back, that's going to cause your breakthrough and your blessing to be pushed back.

No matter what you're going through tonight, stay faithful. Stay loyal. Don't get in sin because your situation is depressing. Don't be disobedient because you can't see your way out. The Lord is for you tonight. And if God be for you, He's more than the world against you. He wants to restore what's been taken away from you.

I began to ponder about restoration. And it came to me that if you don't realize what you had before...(tongues)...how can you believe it's going to be restored? If you don't realize that you were wealthy before (you don't hear me), how you going to believe that your wealth is going to be restored to you?

Jesus went to Calvary and made us wealthy. But you got to understand that, that Satan has come and he has taken it away. But it's time for restoration. A lot of us are under the mentality that we never had it. Yes, you did. At Calvary you got it. That's when you got it. You're not trying to get it. It was yours from the beginning. It was yours.

But now believe that it was yours. Believe it. Don't go after it like you never had it. Believe it, believe it, believe it, believe it, believe it. Don't go after your healing like you never had your healing. Believe it, that you were healed (hallelujah) by the stripes of Jesus Christ. You got to believe it. Believe it tonight, that it was yours and that it is yours.

Hallelujah Jesus. There's an Anointing that's in this house right now, because God wants to restore some things to His people. Some of you need your mind restored, because the devil done just about took every part of it. And you're about to lose it. But He'll restore it for you. He's the God of restoration tonight. (Tongues.)
