Turn in your Bibles with me to the book of Romans chapter eight.
Romans chapter eight. And when you reach the book of Romans
chapter eight please stand for the reading of God’s Word tonight.
And when you have it signify with a hearty amen. Verse thirty-four.
34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather,
that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us.
35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
peril, or sword?
36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long . . .
Not sometimes, but all day long.
36. . . . we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37. Nay . . .
Somebody say, “Nay.”
37. . . .in all these things we are more than conquerors through
him that loved us.
Let us pray.
Most holy and gracious heavenly Father, Thou art worthy. We
come before You humbling ourselves, thanking and praising You
for another day. And Father, I stand for You, and I stand before
Your people as a vessel this night, not confessing to be perfect,
but striving to be the best that I can be. Hide Your son behind the
cross, that Your people would see and hear You only, and not me.
Father, I decrease right now, that You would increase. Dear Lord,
let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be
acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
In Jesus’ Name.
And all that agree said amen. You may be seated in the house of
the Lord.
Everything in us is hard wired to conquer, to dominate, and even
to govern. Let me say that again. Everything in us, that is
everything that God has placed in us has been hard wired, that
we would be more than conquerors, that we would dominate, and
that we would govern. Glory to God. We were spiritually,
physically, emotionally and relationally formed to manage God’s
earth. Amen, somebody. We were to have no limitations at all.
We were to have no struggles. We were to have no battles. Do
you hear me, somebody? Say amen.
We were born in the image of God. We had no genetic flaws.
Glory to God. And even though our brains were never meant to
be contaminated with negative thinking, sin came in. Look at your
neighbor and say, “Sin came in.” And tainted this magnificent
work of God. It came in and tainted the handcrafted work that
God had created.
You see, you and I are God’s handiwork. But the key to our
victory is to clean up what needs to be cleaned up. Somebody
shout, “Glory.” You see, God has given us a designated path. In
order for us to stay on that path (glory to God) that He has for our
lives, He’s looking for us to be clean vessels. He’s looking for us
to be those vessels (glory to God) that He has called and
separated unto Himself.
God is beginning to bring us back to the days of the garden, when
there was a man that was in the garden that He created (glory to
God) for His glory, to give Him praise and to give Him honor. And
God is calling us back to that place. He’s calling us back to a
place of holiness. He’s calling us back to a place where we’re not
contaminated with the spirit of the world. Do you hear what I’m
saying tonight? God is speaking to us. He’s telling us to get the
world out of us, for greater is He that’s in us than he that is in the
world. Somebody give God praise tonight.
He told us that we were a peculiar people. In other words, we’re
not like everybody else. In other words, we’re one of a kind. Do
you hear what I’m saying? In other words, we were fashioned
(glory to God) for Him, by Him. And God is looking for somebody
to be peculiar again. We’ve begun to be like everybody else. You
can’t tell us from the crowd. We’re supposed to be a light that
shines out of darkness, but most of the time we got darkness on
the inside of us. I’m not going to get too many amens in this
house tonight.
He created us to be peculiar. I know what Adam did. Just like
you know what Adam did. But in First Corinthians fifteen it tells
me that there’s a second Adam. There’s a second Adam that
came off of His throne in Glory, that came to earth and bled and
died and rose again with all power in His hands, that He would
clean us up and make us whole again.
Yes, this is one of those words. Because a lot of times after God
starts to bless us we start to fall off a little bit. After God starts
doing what He’s doing we don’t want to praise Him the way we
praise Him when we were going through the fire. The fire was
there to purify you so that you could handle the blessing that God
is giving you. Oh, I know I’m talking to somebody.
You’ve been going through because He’s getting some things out
of you. You think that it’s just the devil messing with you. But I
came to tell you it’s God messing with you. He wants you back.
He’s saying, “I want you to want Me.” He’s saying, “I want you to
love Me.” He’s saying, “Return to your first love.”
We become lukewarm in the house of God. We become a people
that are searching out the blessings instead of searching out the
Almighty God. Our worship takes a while to get on fire. Our
praise takes even longer, because we don’t love Him the way we
used to love Him. But it’s time to clean it up. Look at your
neighbor and say, “You need to clean it up.”
You see, one thing about sin, it causes us to settle. I don’t know
about you, but I can’t settle, because I know deep within me that I
was never created to have the crumbs that fall from the table.
The crumbs are not going to satisfy me. I need the whole meal.
And some of us have become satisfied with the crumbs. I’m not
satisfied. So whatever He’s got to do to get me right, that’s what
He’s got to do.
The Bible says whatsoever’s not of faith is sin. You see, because
some of you are saying, “I wasn’t out last night sleeping with
nobody.” And some of you are saying, “I wasn’t at the club.” And
some of you are saying, “My mouth has not spoken a filthy thing.”
But if the truth were told, you are not operating in faith. And
whatsoever’s not of faith is sin.
Look at your neighbor and say, “Clean it up.” He’s calling us
tonight. He’s wooing us tonight. He’s calling us to His bosom
tonight. He said, “You belong to Me. Why don’t you act like you
belong to Me? You’re worried and cumbersome about many
things, when you know that I’ve worked it out before, and I’m the
same yesterday, today and forevermore. Why are you still
worried?” It’s because we don’t trust Him any more. We don’t
believe. And we become like the children of Israel, allowing God
to work miracle after miracle, and still don’t believe.
God has allowed me to give you prophecy after prophecy, and
you’ve watched them come to pass, and some of you still don’t
believe I’m a prophet. He’s saying, “Clean it up.” He’s saying,
“Get it right.” He’s drawing us closer to Him. And He’s saying,
“Won’t you come? Won’t you come?”
Some of us He’s given us work to do, and we treat His stuff like
it’s secondary, and our stuff is primary. He’s saying, “Clean it up.”
There are sometimes that He gives us these hearts to hearts and
these messages, because the Bible says He gives us the space
to repent. The Bible lets us know that He’s a patient God. But
He’s speaking to you. He’s speaking to me. What are you
hiding? It’s time to clean it up. Clean it up. Look at your neighbor
and say, “Neighbor, you need to clean it up.”
You see, sin places us at a disadvantage. When we’re supposed
to be the head and not the tail, we become the tail and not the
head. And the tail can’t see where it’s going. And that’s why
we’re constantly in a state of confusion. He wants us to clean it
up. He wants us to clean it up.
He’s called us, and He’s chosen us for such a time as this. You
see, you’ve got to understand that you have favor that the
unregenerated man doesn’t have. In other words, you’re a new
creature. And you have favor that the world doesn’t have.
The sin places us at a disadvantage. And we can’t even get what
the world has. And they’ll always seem like they got more than
us. He’s calling us to clean it up. Clean it up.
Daniel prayed, and he said, “Lord, we have sinned.” You see,
when you are not in sin, you cannot afford to get into a self
righteous place. For he prayed and said, “We have sinned as a
nation.”
When Joshua and the children of Israel were having victory after
victory, and God told them not to touch the accursed thing, there
was a man named Achan that took the spoil anyway. And then all
of their victories turned into defeat, because there was sin in the
camp. You see, we think that our sin only affects us, but our sin
affects everybody that’s around us. Look at your neighbor and
say . . . Look at a different person and say, “You need to clean it
up.”
I didn’t know that I was going to minister this message this way.
But this is the way the Lord has given it to me tonight. Because
sometime when we preach we go so fast that you can’t get
everything. But this is one of those messages He wants us to get
the whole thing. You heard. Lift your hand if you’ve heard. He’s
speaking to us. He’s talking about character.
A brother, I was talking to him on the phone today. He said,
“What’s the word?”
I said, “Integrity.”
He’s talking about our integrity, our honesty, our attitudes. If we
can’t do what we want to do, we get an attitude. He’s saying
clean it up. He said clean it up. He wants it to be perfectly clear
tonight, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you hear what the
Spirit of the Lord is saying to the church. Yeah.
God told that man Adam, He said, “You can freely eat of every
tree.” But He said, “Of the tree in the garden of knowledge of
good and evil,” He said, “You will not touch that.” But he touched
it anyway.
There’s a tree in your life that God told you not to touch. Can you
hear what I’m saying? Are you putting your hand to it anyway? Is
there some sort of, or type of nakedness that you’re trying to
cover with fig leaves, and you know that a fig leaf is not big
enough to cover you?
He said clean it up. He’s talking to us. He’s saying clean it up.
Some of us it’s our mind. He’s saying clean it up. Yeah. We got
to clean up these minds. These minds are dirty and polluted.
Even in church we sit, and our mind is filthy. I’m not going to get
too many amens. He’s saying clean up. Clean it up.
Lift your hands to Him tonight. His Presence has been here the
whole time. He’s in the house. He’s in here right now. And if
there’s some things that you need to clean up, I’m inviting you
down to the altar tonight. I don’t care what your name is. I don’t
care what your title is. I don’t care what your gender is. If there’s
some things that you need to clean up tonight (glory to God),
come on down to this altar. He’s here. His Presence is here right
now to help us. He’s a very present help in the time of trouble.
Glory to God.
And you got to be real about it. Don’t come down to this altar if
you’re playing. You got to be real. When I got delivered, my
deliverance was real. Hallelujah. Whether it be lying, whether it
be stealing, whether it be cheating, whether it be fornication,
whether it be adultery, whatever it is, He’s not here to condemn
you tonight. He’s here to cleanse you. He’s here to cleanse us.
Paul said, “I die daily.” We have got to die daily. This flesh has
got to die daily. Daily. Every day. This flesh has got to die every
day. And if you’re anything like me, your flesh has got to die
every day to what it wants. Hallelujah.
Father, cleanse us. Father, purge us tonight. Father, make us
whole. We need You, Jesus. We want clean hands, God. We
want a pure heart, God. That’s what we want. We want to be
holy. We want to be holy, for You are holy; and without holiness
no man shall see the Lord. We can come to the church every
time the door’s open, but if we’re not holy we won’t see You, God.
We want to be holy. Lord, we want to be holy.
Give us a new heart tonight. Make us over again. We need You,
Jesus. If it takes You making us over every day until we get it
right, God, make us over every day. God, we can’t afford to miss
You. We can’t afford to miss You, Jesus. We can’t afford to miss
You, Lord. Not just us, our children, God, our families, God.
Hallelujah. We can’t afford to miss You. We can’t afford to miss
You, Jesus. We’ve been so lukewarm, God. We’ve been so
lukewarm.
We need You to cleanse our minds, God. Our minds, our minds,
God, our minds, God, our brain cells, Lord God, our conscious,
our subconscious mind, our memory, whatever it is, God, clean us
up. Our hearts, clean us up. Clean us up, Jesus. Clean us up,
Jesus. Oh, Father, every guilty stain, every spot, every wrinkle,
every blemish, take it off our garments, that we’ll be whiter than
snow, God, that we’ll be whiter than snow, Jesus, that we would
be pleasing in Your sight, that You would be so pleased with us,
Master, that You would be so pleased. That You would be
pleased. That You would be pleased with us.
As the body of Christ representing True Vine and every church
that’s represented here tonight, that we will be pleasing in Your
sight. We want You to be happy with us. We want You to say,
“This is My beloved son. This is My beloved daughter in whom
I’m well pleased.”
And God, when it’s all said and done, we want to hear You say,
“Well, done.” We want to hear You say, “Well done,” Jesus.
Whatever we said or whatever we’ve done that could keep us
from You, God, we move all of those out of the way, because we
want to hear You say, “Well done.” We want You to say, “Well
done.”
Yeah. Clean hands tonight. Pure hearts tonight.
